In case you missed it, I unveiled my 2020 DOP Senior Rep Team a few months ago. Having a rep team has been in the works for quite some time (it was #1 on my goals list for 2019).
As a DOP Senior Rep, my girls get to participate in several styled shoots throughout the year. It's a pretty awesome perk of being a rep. I knew I wanted this first shoot to set the tone for the year. I wanted it to be fun, playful, a tiny bit edgy and 100% original.
THE CONCEPT
Before my team was even selected I had this vision of bright colors and ice cream. I had been eyeing my location (the super cool ice cream shop, BMORE LICKS) on Instagram for quite some time and this became this primary inspiration for this shoot. When I told the girls my idea at our first meeting, I said what do you all think about a "Coachella meets Ice Cream" vibe? And they all LOVED the idea and planning began! We spent the day shooting in downtown Baltimore in 90+ degree heat a week ago and I am so excited to finally share a peek from my first ever DOP Senior Rep Team styled shoot.

THE STYLE
The Coachella "festival style" has become super popular in recent years. For most, Coachella means flower crowns, boho sundresses and an abundance of choker necklaces, but I wanted my vibe to be a little less predictable, and I also wanted to keep the outfits "PG" rated. Marissa, the owner The Velvet Trunk, put together such fun looks the girls!
