Of all the milestones I've experienced with my daughter (who is still only 7), the transition from preschool to Kindergarten was by far the hardest.... for me... so far. The thought of sending her off to school for a full day was a little scary. I was bummed I was losing my little sidekick, my shopping buddy, but let's be honest, my trips to Target with just one kiddo in tow would be much easier (and less expensive, too).
Certainly I was more nervous than she was. And on that first day of school, as she walked through those big doors with a book bag that was almost bigger than she was, I smiled, knowing she would flourish, and grow, and thrive, and make friends, and learn so many things. And by the end of her year in Kindergarten, her baby face had faded, her interest in dress-ups was, for the most part, gone. I'm so glad I have the pictures to look back on to remember those moments right before she grew up that year.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of hanging out with 8 awesome kindergarten-bound cuties! With the help of a friend whose family owns a local bus company, I was able to document this transition from preschool to the big school! I'm so excited for these cuties and the journey that will begin for them this fall.
