You know those things that sit on your "to-do" list and never get checked off? They're simply just not the priority. New items get added and that one item just keeps moving further and further down the list. Well, that's pretty much the case for this blog post. Since the start of 2019, I've been wanting to take an inventory of all of last year's work and post a DOP Top 10. Well, I've been buried in boring tax activities, editing furiously to get Valentine's Day sessions delivered, and well, I just didn't have the time. After entering a few images into a "best of" contest last week, I decided it was finally time to sit down and choose my own "best of."
2018 was my inaugural year as an LLC and far exceeded my expectations. With over 80 portrait shoots and 5 weddings, it was a tall order to select my favs. So, my Top 10 grew into a Top 20 (whoops). Some of these images I have never shared while some were crowd favs from my Instagram. Sure I think each of these images is good technically, but these are my favs because there's something that moves me when I look at them. A special feeling, a memory, a celebration. Some fun, some sad, some joyous, some silly. There are stories of life, of hope, of love, and of loss. Thank you to all of my amazing clients who trusted me to capture some pretty awesome moments last year. I can't wait to continue to document more moments for you or your family.
